The gradual choice

I wonder if i'm ever going to have time to waste.

I am quite certain of things and I feel total peace, no appetite remains of any kind, though, I'm a bit thirsty.

I will be busy here for quite a while, but a time will come when I must face my own agency and make my choices regarding eternity, the choice might be a process though, that might be gradually made as I make millions of little choices, till one day, I say, I know exactly what I'll be doing in eternity.

IF that's a big word. I like sure things.

I watched an episode on Stargate Atlantis and there was a scene that made me think of this post.

But, first I want to tell about Gavin's object lesson about lies. He carried his piece of yarn around for weeks, then sadly told me that he lost it. The yarn can be easily broken by it's self, liken that to a gradual choice made of lots of very tenuios choices that determine the final one.He noted that whe the yarn was wrapped several times around his hands nothing could be done to get free. well, I do not agree. It doesn't cover your mouth, so call for help, or just get out the same way you got in, gradually. but it misses the point.

Ok, now the Stargate episode, on his deathbed, this visionary man "Davos" explains that his own fate is unclear though he does have awesome abilities in seeing the future. Someone comments that they will help him, but they aren't so sure abut what they could possibly do. his daughter does not take this new very well. He explains that she is spoiled in not knowing what will happen. It is something that we all take for granted, but it is a new concept to her to have to trust or hope.

It made me think of my comment that I prefer sure things, black and white, if you do this then you get that. but Rodney explains that it only works in a newtonian world, but that quantum physics blows that out of the water.
